Safety Recommendations

During application and mixing, contact with skin and eyes should be prevented. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. Gloves, protective clothing, mask, and goggles should be worn during use.

Application Method

Application on Concrete Surfaces: The cement-based surfaces of structures in contact with water should be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and level. The surface should be thoroughly cleaned of any oils, greases, rust, and paraffin residues that weaken adhesion, and there should be no loose particles on the surface. Iron and wooden wedges should be removed, and any active water leaks should be resolved using Nanoser System Solutions. Any gaps should be filled with NANOREP FT 70 series fiber-reinforced repair mortars, and corners and edges should be beveled with at least a 4 cm radius. Application on Steel Surfaces: Steel surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned of any oils, greases, and rust residues that weaken adhesion and then sandblasted to achieve a suitable surface. In cases where sandblasting is not possible, an air scraper or wire brush should be used for cleaning. In cases where the surface is greasy or oily, degreasers should be used for cleaning. Immediately after cleaning, NANOGUARD HJ-500 should be applied to the surface to prevent it from experiencing corrosion again. Mixing: The hardener component B should be gradually added to the resin component A and mixed for 3-5 minutes with a mixer at 400-600 rpm until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After resting for approximately 3-5 minutes, mix for another 30 seconds. The material is then ready for use. Application: NANOGUARD HJ-500 can be applied with a velvet roller or special spray equipment. For full coverage, NANOGUARD HJ-500 should be applied in two coats. The best method is to apply the second coat before the first coat completely cures. If more than 24 hours pass between coats, the surface must be roughened. Top Coat: If a re-coating is required due to damage or other reasons, the area to be processed should be thoroughly abraded with a wire brush or sandpaper to ensure sufficient mechanical adhesion. Any weak coating should be completely cleaned, and the process should be repeated as if it were the first application.
