Areas Of Use

It is used in multi-storey and underground parking garages, storage areas, maintenance hangars, and other spaces exposed to medium-to-heavy mechanical impacts; in areas requiring chemical resistance such as chemical production facilities and laboratories; in pedestrian walkways where slip resistance is essential and easy maintenance and cleaning are important; and in spaces not exposed to direct sunlight. It is intended for use on horizontal surfaces in interior environments.

Packaging & Storage

Component A: 20 kg tin Component B: 4 kg tin (A+B) Set: 24 kg set Must be stored in its original, unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. The recommended storage temperature is between +5°C and +25°C. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture under appropriate storage conditions.

Safety Recommendations

During mixing and application, avoid contact of the material with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If eye contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention immediately. Protective gloves, clothing, mask, and goggles must be worn during use.

Application Method

Surface Preparation: The surface must be dry, clean, solid, and free from dust; oil, dirt, or adhesion-preventing materials must be removed from the surface; substances such as mortar and cement residues must be scraped off. Before the primer application on the surface, surface abrasive equipment (shotblast, rototiger, etc.) should be used to create an open-pored structure on the top layer of the cement. The resulting dust must be cleaned with the help of an industrial vacuum cleaner. The compressive strength of the abraded concrete surface must be at least 25 N/mm² and the tensile strength must be at least 1.5 N/mm². Before application, it must be ensured that the surface humidity, relative humidity, and dew point requirements are met. Otherwise, due to the carbonation reaction that will occur on the surface, the product will not meet the desired performance criteria. The moisture content of the surface must be a maximum of 4%. Relative humidity must be a maximum of 80%. To prevent condensation before and after the application, the dew point must be above +3°C. EPOSELF - TX is packaged in two components in appropriate quantities. Each component is mixed within itself first. Component B (hardener) is added onto Component A (epoxy resin). It is mixed for 3–4 minutes with a drill fitted with a mixing paddle at 300–400 rpm until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Then the entire mixture is transferred into a clean container and mixed again. If only a portion of the product is to be used, these mixing ratios must be taken into account. New concrete structures must be left to dry for at least 28 days. Surface defects with a depth of more than 1 cm must be repaired 6–8 hours beforehand with POX MORTAR 525 Epoxy Repair Mortar or GFAST 725 Grout Mortar. After surface cleaning, in order to increase adhesion strength and balance surface absorbency, the surface must be primed with NANOPOX PRIMER SF/D in one or two coats depending on the condition of the surface. According to the porosity and structure of the surface, surface leveling can be done with the addition of filler. On surfaces with up to 10% moisture, it must be applied with Termatect Primer; otherwise, the application should not be performed. Prepared EPOSELF TX mixture should be poured onto the surface and spread with the help of a notched trowel. A short-haired roller or coral roller should be rolled over it in perpendicular directions, ensuring the textured coating forms a seamless layer on the surface. To obtain a non-slip, dulled surface, alternatively, 0.1 — 0.5 mm quartz silica filler should be added into EPOSELF TX.
