Packaging & Storage

Component A: 16 kg tin Component B: 4 kg tin (A+B) Set: 20 kg set It should be stored in its unopened original packaging in a cool, dry environment, protected from freezing. The recommended storage temperature should be between +5°C and +25°C. The shelf life is 12 months from the production date, under proper storage conditions.

Safety Recommendations

During application and mixing, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water. If the material comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help. Protective gloves, clothing, mask, and goggles should be worn during use.

Application Method

Surface Preparation: The surface must be dry, clean, solid, and free from dust; oil, dirt, or bonding-inhibiting materials must be removed from the surface; mortar, cement residues, and similar substances should be scraped off. Before applying the primer, abrasive equipment (shotblast, rototiger, etc.) should be used to create an open-pore structure on the cement top layer. Any dust generated should be cleaned using an industrial vacuum. The compressive strength of the abraded concrete surface should be a minimum of 25 N/mm², and the tensile strength should be a minimum of 1.5 N/mm². Before application, ensure that the surface moisture, relative humidity, and dew point requirements are met. Otherwise, the carbonation reaction that occurs on the surface may prevent the product from reaching the desired performance criteria. The moisture content of the surface should be a maximum of 4%. The relative humidity should be a maximum of 80%. The product is packaged in suitable amounts of 16 + 4 kg. Each component is mixed individually. The B component (hardener) is added to the A component (epoxy resin). Mix for 3-4 minutes with a mixer tool rotating at 300-400 rpm until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Then, transfer the entire mixture to a clean container and mix again. If only part of the mixture will be used, attention should be paid to the mixing ratios. To prevent condensation before and after application, the dew point should be above +3°C. New concrete structures must be left to cure for a minimum of 28 days. Surface defects deeper than 1 cm should be repaired with POX MORTAR -525 Epoxy Repair Mortar or GROFAST 725 Grout Mortar 6-8 hours beforehand. After cleaning the surface, the surface should be primed with NANOPOX PRIMER SF/D in one or two coats depending on the condition of the surface to increase bonding strength and balance surface porosity. Surface leveling can be done by adding filler depending on the porosity and structure of the surface. After a minimum of 20 minutes from the primer application, sandblasting with appropriate filler should be done until saturation is reached to increase the bonding strength of the subsequent floor coating. For the EPOSELF-SL Epoxy Self application, the primed surface must have gained its hardness. The prepared EPOSELF-SL Epoxy Self mixture should be poured onto the surface and spread with a notched trowel. Afterward, a spiked roller should be used in perpendicular directions to remove any remaining air bubbles and balance the coating thickness. To achieve a non-slip, roughened surface, after the above application, initial sandblasting should be done after approximately 15-20 minutes, and within a maximum of 30 minutes, a generous amount of quartz filler should be spread to achieve the non-slip, roughened surface.
