Maxi BP 1000

Bitumen-polyurethane based, single component, fast curing, super elastic waterproofing material. Fast-curing, bitumen-enriched polyurethane-based liquid waterproofing material. Adheres strongly to almost any type of surface, creating a highly elastic layer. Has resistance to chemicals and mechanical effects is excellent. Its content is based entirely on elastomeric hydrophobic polyurethane resin and is supplemented with chemically polymerized pure bitumen.

General Characteristics
It can be used on all mineral-based surfaces and has high adhesion. It has 1000% elasticity. It is resistant to salt solutions and weak acids. It is resistant to freeze-thaw cycles. It forms a seamless, continuous waterproofing layer. It is easily applied with a brush, trowel, or spraying machine. It has a low emission value and is environmentally friendly

Packaging & Storage

The 25 kg metal should be stored in its original packaging in a dry environment between +5°C and +35°C. In unopened packaging, it has a shelf life of at least twelve months when stored in a dry, cool, and closed place.

Safety Recommendations

During application and mixing, contact with skin and eyes should be prevented. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water. If the material comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. During use, gloves, protective clothing, mask, and goggles should be worn

Application Method

Before application, the surface should be inspected, and if any repair is needed, it should be done with NANOREP FT-70/30 series repair mortars. Water insulation should be applied 7 days after this process. The surface must have at least 25 N/mm² compressive strength and at least 1.50 N/mm² tensile (pull-off) strength. Before application, the surface should be primed with NANOPUR-NANOPOX series primers, depending on its roughness and absorbency. If necessary, two coats of primer can be applied. The surface moisture content must be between 4% and 6%. The primer consumption may vary depending on the quality and absorbency of the concrete. Ensure the primer has completely cured and hardened. After priming, the water insulation should be applied after at least 4 hours and no more than 48 hours. It should not be applied to fresh concrete surfaces. All drains, gutters, and filters should be insulated using sealing tapes. The surface to be insulated must be dry. Before starting the application (at least one day prior), MAXI BP 1000 should be brought to standard room conditions (23±20°C). During the MAXI BP 1000 application, suitable work clothes, goggles, and masks must be worn according to occupational health and safety regulations. MAXI BP 1000 is supplied ready for use. Before mixing, ensure the material temperature is between +15°C and +25°C. The product should be mixed using a mechanical mixer with an epoxy/polyurethane resin mixing head at 300-400 rpm for 4-5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is achieved, avoiding air incorporation. The mixture, after being fully prepared, should be applied to the surface using a stiff-bristled brush or spraying equipment. After the material completes its reaction, the second coat is applied perpendicular to the first coat. The waiting time between coats is at least 12 hours. The next coat can be applied when no finger marks remain during the manual check after the first coat. Fine cracks, joints, corners, and edges should be supported with geotextile fleece after the first coat. In terrace roofs and similar applications, geotextile fleece should be applied to the entire surface after the first coat. The application must be at least 2 coats, with at least 12 hours waiting time between coats (waiting time should not exceed 24 hours). After the application is complete, the coating should not be exposed to direct water contact or snow within 36-48 hours, and the air temperature should not drop below +8°C.
