Polymer-modified, bitumen-rubber-based two-component waterproofing material.
It is a polymer-modified, bitumen-rubber-based, two-component, highly elastic
waterproofing material. It is used to protect structural elements located
underground, at ground level, or buried in soil against the harmful effects of water.
Suitable for use only on the positive side. Once dried, it becomes
highly flexible and bridges shrinkage cracks.
General Characteristics
It can be used on all mineral-based surfaces and has high adhesion. It
is applied only on the positive side. It is resistant to salt solutions and
weak acids. It is resistant to freeze-thaw cycles. It forms a seamless,
joint-free waterproofing layer. It is easily applied with a brush or trowel.
It is solvent-free and environmentally friendly.

In the waterproofing of foundation basement walls In the waterproofing of sloped floor concretes. In foundation wrapping applications. In the waterproofing of structural elements buried underground. In the repair of bitumen-based synthetic membranes.
30 kg Plastic Bucket Set (Component A: 22 kg, Component B: 8 kg) Should be stored in a dry environment between +5°C and +35°C in its original packaging. In unopened packaging, it has a shelf life of at least twelve months when stored in a dry, cool, and closed place.
During application and mixing, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If it comes into contact with the eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical assistance. During use, gloves, protective clothing, mask, and goggles should be worn.
Ensure that the application surface is dry, solid, and clean. Make sure the surface to be applied is free of residues such as dust, dirt, mold oil, or detergent that may prevent adhesion. The hardness, water absorption, and strength of the surface should be checked beforehand. If there are any gaps or movable parts on the surface, they should be fixed. Before application, the surface should be inspected, and any areas requiring repair should first be repaired with NANOREP FT 70/30 series repair mortars. After this process, the waterproofing application should proceed after 7 days. The surface should have at least 25 N/mm² pressure resistance and at least 1.50 N/mm² tensile (pull-off) resistance. Movable parts should be fixed, and joints and seam areas should be sealed with expansion joints. For newly poured concrete, a curing period of 21 days is mandatory. The application should begin when the maximum moisture content drops below 10%. Before starting the application (at least one day prior), BITUBOND 2K should be brought to standard room conditions (23±2°C). The B component should be added to the A component of BITUBOND 2K and mixed with a low-speed mechanical mixer until a homogeneous mixture is achieved (mix at 500 rpm for 2–3 minutes). In cases where the entire product in the bucket will not be used, the mixing ratio should be maintained at 22/8. If used, after the primer has dried, the application should proceed. After the homogeneous BITUBOND 2K mixture rests for 1-2 minutes, the prepared mixture is applied to the surface with a notched trowel, brush, or roller. At least two coats should be applied. The waiting time between coats should be 1-2 hours at room temperature. The second coat application should proceed when the first coat is dry enough not to be damaged. Depending on the surface roughness and the water pressure the insulation layer will be exposed to, the application thickness may be increased if necessary (please refer to the consumption table). In areas exposed to temporary and continuous water pressure, a fiberglass reinforcement mesh with a weight of up to 110 g/m² and resistant to alkali should be placed on the entire surface after the first BITUBOND 2K application to ensure a 4 mm application thickness. The second BITUBOND 2K layer should be applied to fully cover the mesh.
