Single-component polyurethane-based primer.
It is a ready-to-use primer material designed for absorbent surfaces, based on
polyurethane
General Characteristics
It has high mechanical strength. It does not shrink (non-shrink). It can
be used in both indoor and outdoor environments. It has high structural
bonding strength. It provides impermeability to the applied structure. It
is resistant to chemicals such as petrol, oil, acids, and alkalis. It can be
applied to surfaces like concrete, wood, and stone.
| Specific Gravity | 1.10 kg / lt |
|---|---|
| Adhesion Strength | 2,2 N/mm2 |
| Hardness (Shore A) | 90 ± 5 |
| Application Temperature | +10°C / +30°C |
|---|---|
| High temperatures shorten the curing time, while low temperatures lengthen it. |
It is used in both indoor and outdoor environments, on terraces, roofs, and balconies, as a primer for polyurethane-based joint sealant mastic, before applying polyurethane waterproofing materials, before polyurethane floor coating materials, and before polysulfide and polyurethane casting mastic applications.
It should be stored in unopened original packaging, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. The suitable storage temperature is between +5°C and +25°C. The shelf life, under proper storage conditions, is 12 months from the production date.
During application and mixing, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If contact with the eyes occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. Protective gloves, clothing, mask, and goggles should be worn during use.
Surface Preparation: The concrete surface to be applied must be dry, clean, and dust-free. Damaged and loose concrete pieces must be removed from the surface. The surface must have a compressive strength of at least 25 N/mm² and a pull-off adhesion strength of at least 1.5 N/mm². The age of the new concrete must be at least 28 days depending on the season, and the concrete surface must have a moisture content of no more than 4%. Large cracks and defects must be repaired in advance. Cement skin and shiny screed on the concrete surface should be cleaned and roughened using sandblasting, notching machine, diamond drum grinding machine, or mechanical grinding tools. The entire surface must be free of dust. Mixing: NANOPUR PRIMER 1K is available ready to use. To achieve a homogeneous mixture, ensure the product temperature is at least 15°C. The packaging should be quickly mixed with a mechanical mixer. Mix for at least 1-2 minutes using a mixer with a speed of around 300 rpm and a suitable mixing head to ensure no unmixed material remains on the packaging sides or bottom, until a homogeneous mixture is achieved and ready for use. Application: The prepared mixture should be applied to the surface with a roller or airless spray, ensuring the surface is fully saturated and the pores are closed. The maximum time for re-coating is 24 hours (at 20°C), and the minimum time is 4 hours. If more than 24 hours have passed since the previous application, the primer surface should be sanded before the next layer is applied. It is crucial to apply the second layer within the specified time frame. Full mechanical and chemical resistance is achieved in approximately 7 days. Application Conditions: The relative humidity of the air should not exceed 90%, and the ambient and surface temperature should be between +5°C and +30°C. In outdoor conditions, there should be no rain 24 hours before starting the application, during the application, and 24 hours after the application.
