Nanopox Primer - SF

Nanopox Primer - SF

Pure Epoxy Resin-Based Primer. A high-adhesion power, pure epoxy-based, two-component, low-viscosity primer material used in epoxy, polyurethane, and polyurea systems

General Characteristics
Has high mechanical strength. Non-shrink. Does not contain solvents. It can be used both indoors and outdoors. Has high and structural bonding strength. Provides impermeability in the structure of application. Resistant to chemicals such as petroleum, oil, acid and alkali. It can be applied to surfaces such as concrete, wood, steel, stone.

Areas Of Use

Indoors and outdoors, On concrete and cement-based mineral surfaces, As a primer layer in epoxy floor coating applications, As a primer layer before application of polyurethane and polyurea waterproofing materials, In the bonding of epoxy-based leveling mortars and mortar coatings, It can be used as a filler and repair mortar when mixed with silica sand.

Packaing & Storage

Component A : 12 kg + Component B : 6 kg / 18 kg set (A+B) Should be stored in its original unopened packaging, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. Suitable storage temperature should be between +5°C and +25°C. Shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture under appropriate storage conditions.

Safety Recommendations

During application and mixing, the material should be prevented from contact with the skin and eyes, and it should be washed with plenty of water and in case of contact. In case of contact with eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention. Gloves, protective clothing / masks / goggles should be used during use.

Application Method

Surface Preparation: The concrete surfaces to be applied must be dry, clean, and dust-free. Damaged and loose concrete fragments should be removed from the surface. The surface must have a compressive strength of at least 25 N/mm² and a pull-off test result of at least 1.5 N/mm². The age of the new concrete must be at least 28 days, depending on the season, and the concrete surfaces must have a maximum moisture content of 4%. Large cracks and defects should be repaired beforehand. The cement crust and glossy screed on the surface should be cleaned and roughened using tools like sandblasters, chipping machines, diamond drum grinding machines, or power grinders, and then wiped. The entire surface should be free of dust. Mixing: NANOPOX PRIMER SF is supplied in ready-touse sets according to the mixing ratio. It is a two-component product, and the amount to be consumed should be prepared according to the specified mixing ratio, considering the pot life. To achieve a homogeneous mixture, the product temperature should not be less than 15°C. Component A should be quickly mixed with a mechanical mixer, and then the hardener (Component B) should be added, following the correct mixing ratio. A and B components should be mixed with a mixer operating at approximately 300 rpm and an appropriate mixing head, ensuring that no unmixed material remains on the sides and bottom of the container. The mixture should be stirred for at least 1-2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained and made ready for use. Application: The prepared mixture should be applied to the surface using a roller or airless spray to saturate the surface and close the pores. The minimum waiting time for applying the second coat is 4 hours (at 20°C) and the maximum is 24 hours. Before applying a new coat after 24 hours, the primer surface must be sanded. It is very important that the second coat is applied within the new coat application time mentioned above. Full mechanical and chemical strength is achieved in approximately 7 days. Application Conditions: The relative humidity of the air should be a maximum of 90%, and the application temperature (ambient and surface) should be between +5°C and +30°C. In outdoor areas, the weather conditions should be dry 24 hours before, during, and 24 hours after application.
