Nanopox Primer - D

Nanopox Primer - D

Epoxy resin-based, two-component, adhesion-promoting, filled primer. It is a two-component, epoxy-based, low-viscosity, filled primer material with high adhesive strength.

General Characteristics
It has low viscosity and high adhesion strength. It is easy to apply and penetrates surfaces excellently. Due to its filling properties, it fills bird’s eye and micro cracks and pores on the surface to be applied. After curing, it forms a waterproof, abrasion-resistant, and breakage-resistant film. The formed film is resistant to bases, acids, diluted salt solutions, grease, and petroleum products, and is impermeable.

Technical Specifications

Density (g/cm³) A bileşeni : 1.50, B bileşeni : 1.03
Mix 4:1
Pot Life 30 minutes
Recoat Time 8-12 hours
Hardness Shore D 70-80 ± 5
The above values are given at +20°C and 50% relative humidity. High temperatures shorten the time, while low temperatures extend the time.

Areas Of Use

As a primer material before epoxy and polyurethane flooring applications, as a primer material for polyurethane insulation products, as a primer material before polyurea application, and as a mortar material when mixed with aggregates of different gradations

Packaing & Storage

25 kg set (Component A: 20 kg + Component B: 5 kg) should be stored in its unopened original packaging, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. The suitable storage temperature should be between +5°C and +25°C. The shelf life is 12 months from the production date when stored under proper conditions.

Safety Recommendations

During application and mixing, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water. If the material comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical assistance. Gloves, protective clothing, mask, and goggles should be worn during use.

Application Method

Surface Preparation: The concrete surfaces to be applied must be dry, clean, and free of dust. Damaged and loose concrete particles should be removed from the surface. The surface should have a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm² and a minimum pull-off strength of 1.5 N/mm² as per test results. The age of new concrete should be at least 28 days, depending on the season, and the concrete surface should have a moisture content of no more than 4%. Large cracks and defects should be repaired beforehand. Cement paste and smooth screed on the concrete surface should be cleaned and roughened using tools such as sandblasting, scoring machines, diamond drum grinding machines, or mechanical grinders. The entire surface must be free from dust. Mixing: NANOPOX PRIMER D is available in ready-to-use sets according to the mixing ratio. It is a two-component product, and considering the pot life, it should be prepared according to the specified mixing ratio for the amount to be consumed. The product temperature should not be less than 15°C to achieve a homogeneous mixture. Component A should be quickly mixed with a mechanical mixer, and then the hardener (component B) should be added according to the mixing ratio. Components A and B should be mixed for at least 1-2 minutes with a mixer running at approximately 300 RPM, ensuring no unmixed material remains on the sides or bottom of the container. The mixture should be homogeneous and ready for use. Application: The prepared mixture should be applied with a roller or airless spray to saturate the surface and close the pores. The new layer application time for the next layer should be at least 4 hours (at 20°C) and no more than 24 hours. If the next layer is applied after 24 hours, the primer surface must be sanded. It is crucial that the second coat is applied within the specified new layer application time. Full mechanical and chemical resistance is achieved in approximately 7 days. Application Conditions: The relative humidity of the air should be no more than 90%, and the application temperature (ambient and surface) should be between +5°C and +30°C. In open areas, weather conditions should be considered, and it should not rain 24 hours before, during, and 24 hours after the application.
