It is used as an adhesive in all indoor and outdoor areas of buildings, in insulation applications, on mineral surfaces, and for surface repair before painting.
25 kg Kraft should be stored in its unopened original packaging, in a cool and dry environment, protected from freezing. The suitable storage temperature should be between +5°C and +25°C. The shelf life is 12 months from the production date, provided it is stored under appropriate conditions.
During application and mixing, contact with skin and eyes should be prevented. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help. Gloves, protective clothing, mask, and goggles should be used during application
The surface to be applied must be clean, smooth, and solid, free from residues such as mold oil, cement residue, or loose particles that could hinder adhesion. In a clean mixing container, 6 kg of mixing water should be added to XPY 500 Y, slowly during mixing with a low-speed mixer (400 RPM), and mixed until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. The mixture should be allowed to mature for 5 minutes, and before starting the application, it should be mixed again for 30 seconds with the same low-speed mixer (400 RPM). XPY 500 Y should be applied to the thermal insulation boards with a notched trowel for the mortar and with a mortar trowel to the sides of the insulation boards. The mortar applied should cover at least 40% of the surface of the thermal insulation boards. XPY 500 Y mortar should not dry and form a film layer on the insulation board. If this happens, the dried mortar should be scraped off and a new application should be made. The application time for XPY 500 Y mortar is 1 hour
